Family Owned & Operated Since 1977

Where we began:

With a background in Engineering Technology, Thanos returned to his roots, where his father taught him at a very young age how to run a successful retail business. His wife, June, was always interested in health foods and supplements, and how well the body responded to them, so in 1977, they decided to start Foods For Life.

Situated in Bloor West Village, it has become a cornerstone of the landscape. Customers come from across the province to buy vitamins, supplements, and health foods at discounted prices. Come in and check out our anniversary specials. Our prices will WOW you!

Founders — June & Thanos Petsoulas

Sadly, both of the founders have passed away, June in 2017 and Thanos in 2026, but the store continues to be family-owned and operated, and their daughter, Michelle, who worked at the store from a very young age, is remotely involved in the day-to-day operations, with Paul, Tania, and Evelyn providing the in-store management.

Where We Are Today

The same roots. The same passion. More to offer than ever before.

Nearly five decades later, Foods for Life remains a beloved fixture of Bloor West Village — still family-owned, still committed to bringing you the best in vitamins, health foods, and supplements at prices that make a difference. Our storefront is always evolving, always adapting to bring you the latest in natural health and wellness. But one thing never changes: our dedication to this community and to your well-being.

We also believe great health shouldn't cost a fortune. Throughout the year, we run seasonal promotions, brand spotlights, and limited-time deals across all departments — so there's always something new to discover at a price that surprises you.
